SECOND STAR
A solo journaling adventure through the world of Peter Pan, played with a full 78-card tarot deck, a die, and a pen.
Inspiration behind the project
At the heart of this game is one idea taken straight from Barrie: that the children who go to Neverland begin to forget the ones they left behind. Peter has forgotten almost everything — and that is precisely why he can fly.
So Second Star is built around a trade. The island gives you flight, mermaids, pirates and a place at the Lost Boys' table. In return it asks for the small ordinary things you carried in: the sound of a radiator, a Sunday habit, a promise made to a friend.
What the island asks
Ten slips of paper, written in your own hand: a sound from the house, something you ate and who made it, a promise you made to a friend. One of the ten is your name.
They go into an envelope marked Remembered. Some nights, the island takes one — drawn blind, read once, sealed away in Forgotten. From that page forward you may never write of it again.
You don't choose what you lose. Nobody does.
